I would say you'd be fine... A bucket is a bucket... Spigot or not. But if you do use the bottling bucket for fermentation, would are you going to do when it comes time to bottle? Buy another fermenter.... A bucket is cheap. Just my $.02

This got me thinking... Scary, I know. Hahahahaha But, could you use the spigot on the bottling bucket for transferring into a bottling bucket.... Or would that not work by sucking up trub? Seems it would be easier than siphoning from fermenter to bottling bucket on bottle day. Please advise...

The stone clone is my very first batch of many. Did not rinse... Was thinking it was a mistake... But thank god it wasn't. Just don't want any troubles for the rest of the process. It's the small things I over look. The fermenter bucket was washed before the process began and left to air dry...
