    Aerating Wort For Yeast

You should be ok. It sounds like you have a hydrometer, so just check it after a couple weeks. It should be done by then. I wouldn't leave it in there more than 4 weeks if you can avoid but I'd be very surprised if fermentation hadn't completed long before that.

Did I just oxidize my entire 5 gallons of beer?

Awe man, oxidized your beer? That sucks, especially with the new Health and Safety regulation 19002:2013 which has come into effect. That now makes your booze a hazardous substance, which is going to be very costly to get rid of. Luckily for you, I have the correct equipment and training at my...

    New to brewing

Have a look at a few of 'terpsichoreankid' videos on you tube. He's an eccentric character but he has got some very good material.

To bottle or not to bottle?

+1 You're checking it too often. You're asking for trouble.

How long before I give up?

Don't give up amigo. It's all part of the learning curve, you'll get there. One idea for you (this might be a waste of time, so someone ease tell me if it is), buy some soda water and bottle it in one of your bottles. You're going to lose quite a bit of carbonation from this method, but if you...

    Graphic Designer needs beer help!

I bet you didn't expect this amount of interest in your question?

Beginner - where do I get started?

Yeast is what makes the magic happen :ban: Without it you'd have to buy rubbing alcohol from a pharmacy, but don't even think about drinking that. You will probably end up in hospital, or the morgue.

    Graphic Designer needs beer help!

Yep, I didn't notice that; those flat sides would fail with much pressure in the bottle. That's almost any pressurized vessel is always round.

    Graphic Designer needs beer help!

It's very uncommon to have beer in a bottle without color. This is because UV light can get in and spoil the beer. You're much more likely to see 1 Brown 2 Green Brown being the more common by a long way. I thought the strongest beer out just now is BrewDog Sink the Bismarck at 41%. I can't...

    My one and only bump.

    Ferm Cap int the primary

I'm expecting some monumental action on my next brew. I've heard I can use ferm cap in the primary (I wont be using a secondary). Should I use it? How much should I use? And should I still use a blow of tube?

    Taking the FG

Ok, My Belgian Abby Ale have been sitting in the fermeter for over a month now, it's probably closer to two (I've learned how to relax about it a bit more). I'll be taking an FG soon but there beer is clear at the top half of the fermenter and a bit more cloudy at the bottom. Will where I pull...

    Secondary for Imperial Stout

You guys say not to bother with the instructions. Do you think I should use a secondary?

    BrewR for Android

Arggg, the app has stopped working (for me at least). What'll I do? How will I waste my time now? I've reset the phone but keep getting this after the app start up screen: Error The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be a result of the forum software being out of date or having...

    secondary racking question:/

I'm just a beginner but; easy tiger! Adding that corm sugar has just increased the time it's going to need to ferment. Leave it alone, let it do it's thing. If you do have any oxidization (which I would think is unlikely or minimal (If you leave it alone!)), it won't be much and it will be very...

My first batch ever! Lots of questions.

Let us know how it turns out. Everything sounds exactly on course, I'm sure you'll have a mighty fine beer on your hands in a month or so.
