    culturing yeast question

I used Wyeast 1318 London Ale III on my last small batch and the temp got up to 74/75 at one point. Probably about 2 days into fermentation on a 2g small batch. I know this is higher temp for this yeast. My question is, If a yeast strain ferments at a higher then "normal" range for the yeast...

    New IPA Recipe

I got ya.. what would you do to lower it a bit? I looked at tree house julius(which is different build) but that seems to have a high IBU as well? Maybe just do the 60min. Mosiac as buttering and then just add the rest at whirlpool to drop the IBU’s a bit?

    Tree House Julius Clone

Looking for a Tree House Julius clone. Possibly a extract if possible. If not, all grain would work too. Anyone have or know of one already in beer smith so I can just download, scale it and go? Thanks,

    Years for co2

I don’t have a store open to swap on weekends so I found a paintball shop but was wondering if the dates are still good

    Years for co2

I have a co2 tank with 05A15 on it. Does that mean I will need to have it re certified next year May 2020? Or is it expired and won’t fill?

    Heating element on for 15sec.

I accidentally turned my heating element on for about 15sec. Without water/liquid in the kettle. Is it ruined? Has a slight “burnt” Oder mildly but still functions (with water of course). Can I use it with no off flavors? Can I use something like vinegar to clean it to see if the burning smell...

    Can I re-chill keg

I did a 5g batch, carbed it at 40 degrees for 7 days. Came out decent then I took the keg out of the fridge to clean the fridge and what not and thought I put it back in and didn’t. It’s sat in my garage for 5 days at room temp. Can I still use it and re chill it back in the fridge or will it be...

    Altering flavor after fermentation

Is there any ways to alter flavors after fermentation has completed? I made a yellow rose clone and fermented at 67 with us-05 and it turned out sort of a sweetness/sort of buttery taste. I did two packets of yeast. It’s not horrible but not something I want to drink 5g worth. Anyway to add...

    Mosaic S.M.A.S.H. (yellow rose clone)

Want to brew this and try. I’m just wondering since this is an older post if you still stand by this recipe? I live in tx and recently had this and love love it so figured I’d attempt s clone for once and found your/this post. I don’t know much about water profile so was going to start off with...

Trying to make a “dryer” less sweet brew

Understandable. Most of the forums I’ve found on this recipe/clone has not been very recent so I guess I’ll comment and see if the brewer still stands by it.
