    concerning the trub, I doubt it will make much difference, especially if you rack to a secondary after the ferment is done. Other brewers with more experience may offer more extensive advise, though.

    I limit it to a bottle or two if I'm doing an afternoon or evening brew, but most of the time I'm brewing in the morning or early afternoon and often have somewhere I need to be after I finish, so no drinking then.
