    Loose cocoa nibs.

    I racked to secondary (glass carboy) so I added the nibs loose. Will they sink to the bottom or stay afloat? Will I have siphoning issues when bottling? Thanks.

    Question about yeast amount.

    Original recipe: 1lb 120 crystal malt 5oz roasted barley 2oz black patent 6.6lbs dark LME 2oz cluster hops 1pkg wyeast 1084 Added: 8oz chocolate malt 4oz lactose 5lbs red tart cherries. Is original amount of yeast good? Thanks.

    Well, I think i racked to soon.

    I got worried, didn't relax, and didn't have a HB. Bubbles stop after one day so I shook and re-pitched, waited a day and racked to secondary. Bottled a week later and there it is, buttery taste/smell. In the bottles now for 2 weeks. Will it subside or should I drink and move on? Thanks.

    Fermentation stops after 1 day.

    I don't know what I'm doing wrong but it stops after one day. I then swirl the primary and notice some activity but it stops shortly there after. This is my second batch and it happened again. The temp is good, I use wyeast and pop it about 4 hours before pitching. Should I use a starter?
