    Holiday Ale in Secondary, John Bull Kit in primary.

    Red airlock cap flew off last night.

    So I woke up this morning and the red cap on my airlock was missing and there is now considerable amounts of wort and foam in the airlock and on the lid. I just placed the red cap back on and it flew off again within minutes. Should I rinse out the whole airlock and reattach it or just leave it?

    Hello, newbie brewer here.

    I found this thread on accident, and I'm really glad I did. I just picked up my equipment today. $200 and 2 hours later and my first brew is fermenting. The airlock is even bubbling! I went with the Brewers Best Holiday ale hoping it would be ready in time for Xmas, but I'm not so sure...
