    Red Flanders into a wet rum barrel??

    I have a 5 gallon rum barrel that I keep wet with a bottle of rum and about 2 gallons of water that I flip from time to time. I was thinking of dumping out the water and replacing it with 5 gallons of a 2 year old red flanders that's been sitting quiet in a fermenter. What do you think?

    Munich Helles 2011 1st Place HBT- Light lager- Augustiner Lagerbier Hell

    i like to leave the primary for 4 weeks. then rack to kegs, force carb. and lager for 4 more weeks. when i make lagers i make a ten gallon batch and keg it into one 5 gallon keg and two 2.5gallon kegs. this is really nice b/c once i crack into that last 2.5gallon keg its been lagering for 2 plus...

    lagers are awesome and worth the wait. i particularly love Helles. It reminds me of the times i've spent in Munich enjoying a liter in the park watching foosball games! ja! A helles is very hard to find. So i brew my own. for $400 bucks you can have a fridge, and all the riggings for 10 gallon...

    i will be kegging a german pilsner. then making a german dark pilsner and pouring the wort right onto the yeast cake coming this sunday.

    in the cellar we have some applewein, flanders, and some stout hanging out looks like the fridge has enough room for two more 2.5gal kegs this is my fermentation fridge - just racked this new flanders into some better bottles that will be moved to the cellar.

    let's see.... i got 10 gal german pilsner fermenting, 10 gal of 7 month old red flanders, 10 gal of 1 month old red flanders, 5 gal of 6 month old apfelwein, 5 gal BIPA, on tap i have 5 gal oatmeal stout oaked on nitro, 5 gal witte, 5 gal DIPA, and 2.5 gal BIPA.

    BLC and using a keg to clean my lines

    thats what i was thinking. use a keg to clean with and another to rinse with.
