    FT: Sculpin/Pliny/double actuator ISO: Heady

I'll need two 4-packs minimum to make it remotely worth it. Also I'll only trade $4$ or as close to it as possible. Pliny is around $~7/Bottle, I can't go 1 for 1 on that.

    Quick carbonation technique question

I've found if you roll out around you can speed up the process of force carbing due to increased surface area. I purge a few times and then chill as long as possible, as cold as I can for my patience and I'm good to go. Sometimes you notice some carbonic bite. But it goes away as the co2...

What's your longest time on oak (cubes)?

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to pull a sample and force carb it. We'll see how it goes! I'm thinking about throwing in some vanilla bean into the keg if all goes well.

What's your longest time on oak (cubes)?

I've got a barley wine that's been sitting on 3oz of medium toast American Oak that life got in the way of, lol. I've oaked in the past with pleasant results but no longer than 4 months so im kind of anxious! I remember someone here kept cubes in the carboy until they dissolved (not...

    A little angry

I did a pumpkin brown recently and I feel the pumpkin used in the mash definitely gave the beer noticeable flavor, especially when the pumpkin is roasted. I'll also agree that it gave a little bit of body. The spices are really where you get that "pumpkin pie" dessert flavor from. The spices...

Does cider still mature after pasteurisation

I wouldn't say the change is bad, but it seemed to attenuate the flavors a bit and even rounded out and of the bite a little bit. It's hardly noticeable unless you taste side by side and you're looking for it. Then again, I could be fooling myself. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Home...

    Just not enough vanilla.... fix?

This is fine. I scrape them but shouldn't matter. Main thing is that everything goes in to the spirits and then into the carboy. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Home Brew mobile app
