Im not sure what they say on the bottom... But I dont like the idea of using 5 gallon carboys for primarys.... I use 5 gallon BBs as secondarys... Just thought If I could sell these for 40-50 bucks a piece I could use that money to buy other stuff.

I just bought 3 5 gallon glass carboys at a garage sale for 6 bucks a piece. Planning on using them for brewing. But they look old, and are blue/green glass...Could these be worth more money being antiques??? Some have old water bottle lables on them...I was thinking about selling them, and...

You might want to check the gravity of your beer before transfering to secondary...Check it 3 days in a row to make sure it hasnt changed before transfering to secondary. I secondary all my beers, except cooper kit type beers.

I did five gallons...with two pounds dextrose, and I used the yeast that came with it...and I didnt make a starter, I have heard with dry yeast you dont need to make a starter.

My LHBS lets you buy grain by the bag at a discount rate....Like 80 cents a pound for 2 row...But the great part is...You get to keep your grain with the rest of his, and he just keeps track of how much you get each time so its always fresh...and you get to use his mill which is really nice...

I just made this today for my first AG.... It went pretty good after I got back from the hospital...Stepped on a rusty nail before brewing and had to get a tetnis shot.... Used all my new gear, new coleman extreme mash tun with steel braid, 1/2" 50' wort chiller, new keggle...it was pretty...

I was kinda dreading this beer...But after I kegged it I had a little left in the bucket...I put it in a glass and into the freezer for a few while to chill it, and it actually wasnt bad.....Better than expected... Its no Dead guy ale clone that I love, but I think the SWMBO, and friends will...

This is usually one of my "house brews"...Everyone loves it...Ive done it extract only at this point, but it may be one of the first AG that I do...Maybe this weekend if my LHBS has the hops...They didnt last time.

when I said i would use 2/3, I meant use 2/3 of the starter...I would use all of the yeast I bought to make the starter, then only use 2/3 of that starter to pitch with...then take 1/3 to save....does this make sence?
