    Re-usable bottles?

    I recently bought a case of dark bottle beer and was planning on reusing the bottles. I just wanted to get a second opinion on this particular set of bottles. They're twist off. I've reused other brown bottles, but they were always pri-off. I'm just not sure if the capping and carbing process...

    Liquid or Dry Yeast?

    I am just curious what you guys think is best and why? I've been using dry yeast since I started in December (4 batches total) but used a liquid yeast the other day. Only down side was that the liquid yeast kind of blew up in my hands when I opened it.

    Cleaning bottles

    I am planning on using some Guinness bottles I've been savings to bottle up my 2nd batch.. What's the best way to clean them? I was told to use a bottle brush and then throw em in the dishwasher on high heat with no soap... Thoughts? Suggestions?

    No hydrometer for first batch.

    I didn't actually open up the tube that the hydrometer came in until it was time to check the wort. The hydrometer was shattered (during shipping) and I wasn't able to get it replaced until it was too late..or is it too late? I'm really quite confused about testing the batch, and when...
