Best way to get more (different) pressures?

I currently have a single body, dual gauge regulator, but wanted to be able to do more than just one pressure. I thought about returning the regulator (I got it as a gift) and getting a dual body one, but when I thought about it, I realized I really probably want three different pressures...

Wedding Brew - keg or bottles?

I did bottles for mine - around 150 total, but I brewed and bottled it over the course of several months as it was ready. We didn't have time to properly label them (a friend made sheets of pretty but unworkable labels that had to be hand-punched), so we told everybody what the kinds were and...

    Southern MD brewers club

My wife works down at Pax, before that she was out in Everett for about 3-4 years. We live up in Bowie (so her commute sucks ) and we typically visit Annapolis Homebrew as our LHBS. It's not a bad little store, they have pretty much everything you'd want as far as supplies and...

    Why chest freezers for kegerators?

A lot of people like the form factor - you can fit a bunch of kegs one deep and have easy access to the disconnects and lines on top vs. an upright fridge or freezer where you have to stack them in a couple deep. A normal household fridge typically has a freezer section too, which is a waste (at...

    Cheap bottles

I got a bunch off my local Freecycle group, although some were nasty and many were twist off.

    Kegging vs party pig cost

If you're willing to scrounge and craigslist and whatever, you can get a small kegging setup going for relatively cheap. If you want something nicer or with several kegs or mostly want new gear, it'll cost ya. Two party pigs plus some extra pouches is probably about the same cost as the cheapest...

    Where to get CO2?

Made a successful trip to Laurel Bottled Gas. The place looks like it might fall apart at any minute, but it's a 50 year old family owned business, and I like supporting places like that. I paid about 19 bucks (including tax) for a 10# fill. The guy was helpful and I was only there 5-10 minutes...

    9.2% beer not carbonating?

Basically what that uh...graph, says. I have a 12.2% Belgian Noel that's been in the bottle about a year and it just never really carbed all that much. It's ok for the style, but for the first 3-4 months it was basically flat.

Simple Rules for Drinking My Homebrew

I don't have people over for beer too much, but I like to bring it with me or give it away. Bottle rinsing is a must, but most people forget because when they pop a bottle at home, they just recycle it. I've frequently had people drink my beer and then toss the empties, even after telling them I...

    Where to get CO2?

Thanks for the info guys! A friend at work also recommended Laurel Bottled Gas, so I'm gonna give them a try and I'll report back. I guess they do all kinds of fills, including CO2 and propane, which is pretty handy if you need both.

    Where to get CO2?

Hey all, my awesome wife bought me a kegging setup for Christmas and I'm trying to get it all put together and get some beer on tap. One thing I still need though is to get my tank filled. I've got a shiny new 10# aluminum tank, so I'm not really interested in trading it away for some grody...

    Nuwave PIC for Partial Mashing?

I actually have one of these that I got for Christmas! It works really well for cooking, it heats fast and spills won't burn onto the cooking surface because it heats the pot and not the cooktop. The cooking surface is "pretty big", enough for a good sized pot. I haven't stuck a thermometer in a...

    Dumb fitting question (MFL)

Thanks, that's about what I figured, I was just having a hard time finding where somebody explicitly said so. Sadly, my manifold is all barb fittings, but at least I can make the other ends easier to take apart. I told you it was a dumb question, but at least now I know what I still need to buy!

First AG (BIAB) - way over gravity and lots of trub!

I'd either boil and cool some water and add that to bring the gravity down, or leave it alone and call it a wee heavy ;)

    Dumb fitting question (MFL)

Hey guys, I have been bottling for a couple years now, but my awesome wife bought me kegging gear for Christmas, and I'm still trying to get it all put together. I need to buy some stuff like clamps and some extra disconnects and keg lube, but one thing has me puzzled. I see a lot of kegging...
