    boil cut short

    ipa question

    I brewed a brewers best imperial IPA on 1/20. Was going to do 3 weeks primary and 3 weeks in bottles or so. I've read a few things that say ipa's are better when they are younger though. Should I only primary for 2 weeks? Any thoughts?

    first brew

    Been 2 days short of 3 weeks in primary. Brewers best american amber. Going to bottle on Sunday. Opened to get gravity reading. Came out to 1.011 which is right about on target. Does this look okay though? It tasted alright. Just cloudy and I dont like the floating stuff. Input?

    incomplete sanitation

    Was told at my LHBS that easy clean was sufficient to clean/sanitize. Me being new to brewing believed him. I'm reading a lot about how that is not true lately. I have two 5 gal batches in primary right now. Cause for concern? Thanks in advance for your help!
