[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

The new raspberry pi zero is out and it's $5. It has a spot for the gipo header but it isn't attached (you have to add it) it also does not have the on board nic, but you can add a nic as well via usb.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I tried it. It was heavy and slow on my pi. I ended up dumping it.

Kegberry and kegbot has been out for a while. Kegberry is kegbot for the rpi.

Double check the connections on the meters and the tubing. Any little bit of gap or air can affect them. Also psi around 8 seems to be ideal. It's a lot of trial and error.

Doesn't chrome on android recognize the meta refresh call? You can add a meta refresh call to the main index.php page to refresh the page every 5 minutes (or 1 minute if you want)

I think that's even in the instructions.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

In the pours.php script comment out the part that calls for the refresh of the screen. I think the error you're seeing is related to the fact that it's trying to refresh window 1 but you do not have a monitor with a browser open connected to it. The auto refresh on a pour only works if you...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Yea, I moved the math to the pours.php file so that it could in theory be updated via the website to handle changing calibration.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

No. There's math involved in the python script that reads the info from the flow meter. I don't know where it is from memory, I'll check the code when the sun is up and let you know.

There is not a way to calibrate the meters. What I've found helps to combat the foam is to turn the serving psi down to around 8psi or so.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

It does not currently send a "Kicked Keg" message. It will however, keep pouring if you have more than 5gal in the keg. The reason was that there wasn't a reliable way to determine if a keg actually kicked using the flowmeter. (I was getting faster readings from the meters depending on the...

[Initial Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, no. The flowmeters will not currently work with this setup on a tablet (unless the tablet is connected to an arduino via USB connection. The issue comes in that the code is running on the rPi to constantly watch for input on the serial connection from the...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

For the record, I am 1/3rd of the way done with a script that would do the bulk of the setup for you for a standard install. Which would alleviate most of the issues we see.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

You have to edit the file as root. sudo nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart The sudo tells the system "hey, let me do this as the super (god) user" If you just do nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart The regular pi user does not have enough permissions (its a security feature which is...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Have you checked *all* of the connections on your tubing and meters to make sure they're air tight? I was seeing phantom pours and that pretty much went away after I worked more on making sure that my connections were all tight (at the connectors to the taps, the kegs and on the flow meters...
