    So how do I get the color I want at the same time not over powering the crystal? Anytime I pull the crystal to 10% my color gets to the low end of the styles color. Close to 11SRM. I want it around 16 SRM.

    Question for all-grain brewers

    I use a 48qt rectangle Colman with a PVC manifold. I also batch sparge using a rain style sparge arm mounted in the lid of the cooler. While I love my system I have to pay VERY CLOSE attention to my rate of flow in and out while sparging to avoid compacting the grain.
