    My 2.5 tier brew stand

So I just got this squared away last night. It is 1.5" SS tubing TIG welded together. Got the shrouds from Kurt at Brewsteel. He has been a tremendous help for me in this endeavor and would recomend him to anyone. I think I have the plumbing details worked out now (thanks again Kurt) and have...

5 Gal AG Brewing - 36qt or 52qt Mash Tun?

I have a 36qt since that was what I had already. Big enough for a big 5 gal batch or a lower 10 gal batch. Kinda wish I had a 52qt but don't need it. Eventually I will upgrade to a bigger tun. If I were you I would just keep the 52 qt you have. Don't have to sell one and buy another plus you...

    Mashtun Manifold

I did it for time savings. The time it would take to drill holes that would equal the openings I got by cutting slits would have been a lot longer. Not sure if there is a scientific reason people do it. I have had no problems with excessing grain or stuck sparges yet either. Knock on wood

What saves time on brew day?

This makes me laugh, I see this on everything. I use to think well since I dont live in California I guess I am okay, hahaha, but now I live in California. I am screwed. I use cold tap water right now. I was using "filtered" water from a machine at the store but cant tell a difference in...

My two tier brew stand build

I am about to start my 2 tier build and the above quote has me a little concerned. I want to use the pump for two things, move water from HLT to MLT and from BK through plate chiller to fermentor. So you had to unbolt the pump and sit it on the ground to prime. I thought if the pump was below...

    Keggle accessory placement help...

For recirculation I think you are thinking right with putting the probe outside the kettle. I have seen debate as to put it right at kettle exit or after pump before going back in. As for the T there are things out there and Bobby at Brewhardware has some...

    BIAB Keggle Build

I am interested in seeing what you come up with for the false bottom. I am trying to figure what to do with mine too. Any progress on that? What is the plan? Just make a round false bottom and elevate it above the element?

Colorado Divorce Sale: Great start to a Brutus 10

Sorry to hear about the split, sometimes those things happen for the better. I would be interested in the pump if you split it up and willing to ship. Just let me know.

    Temp probe/thermometer location

I am in the process of building a Ekeggle for BIAB. I went with the 3 port weld in setup from Bobby at Brewhardware for my ball valve, sight glass and thermometer. I will be using this keggle as a propane heated setup while I build the electric so I need a thermometer port. That port will be...

    eBIAB New Guy

So after further research I have come up with the following plan. Use one of the existing keggles, sell MLT and keggle to help fund this. I have come up with the following parts list which is pretty close to DaSwedes...

Greenlee knouckout punch kit for element and ball valve

I used a punch for several holes on my keggles with no real issues. You will not be able to use the same punch for the element and the weldless ball valve either. The weldless ball vale needs a 7/8" hole.

eBIAB controller & pump, in a toolbox - questions

Did you get this build done? Would like to see completed pictures of the inside if you have them. I am thinking about using a toolbox for the enclosure and not understanding what you are talking about the back panel. Thanks Jake

Pictures of first brew day with eBIAB

Thanks for the response. I was 80% sure I wanted to go this direction and I think you made it 98%. Thanks again

Pictures of first brew day with eBIAB

Thats what I was going to ask about, the time savings. I am thinking I am going to go with a eBIAB build soon for the time saving and ease of everything. What element are you using? Are you glad you made the switch? What were you using for your 3 vessel setup? Thanks Jake

    BIAB... plus?

I might have to try this. I think I am going to build a eBIAB keggle and this might be the answer to my basketand hoist question for the setup.
