    Finings for Wheat Beer Yeast?

The cloudiness in Weissbier is due to yeast in suspension. Perhaps you could buy the Classic Beer Style Series book: German Wheat Beer (by Eric Warner), for more information. I believe in most modern recipes, it's recommended to add Whirfloc, which I do.

    Yeast for Wheat Beer

So you want to make a Witbier/ white beer, not a wheat (American or German -style)? I like the Hoegaarden yeast, from the bottle or W3944, but (as mentioned) not too warm or the flavours will be off the charts. if you can get some some, White Labs Belgian Wheat II is my preferred flavour combo.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Coincidentally, it's been about 18 months since I last brewed, and I normally make a double batch size too. The weather is starting to cool in Australia, giving me pause to think about some darker, maltier beers. This weekend, I undertake to clean my mash tun and manifold to brew a malty...

Anybody remember Colt 45 Malt Liquor?

Mickey's is the only malt liquor I have ever seen or bought in Australia. I thought - oooh malty - but was diiissssappointed with the malt character. That was in the early days of my beer adventure. I discovered that the shop also sold Unibroue bottles in a pack with a branded glass. May...

    Age and daily beer consumption.....

65 beers per week is far more than I can regularly manage at my age (53 in April this year). ;) Best I can do is about a litre of Helles each night and maybe 2 litres on Friday and Saturday, for an equivalent of 31 standard drinks per week, but that's only until the Helles keg runs out and then...

Cloning an Obscure Beer (Kozel Cerny)

Kostritzer is an awesome beer, but the Czech Dark is more like a Munich Dunkel, with pils, Munich, Caramunich and Carafa I. The clone recipe is in the linked article above. Beerz Seth out

Cloning an Obscure Beer (Kozel Cerny)

From BYO magazine - http://***********/stories/beer-styles/article/indices/11-beer-styles/247-bohemian-dunkel-style-profile It's a Czech Dark lager, not a Dunkel or Schwarzbier.
