    How long in the primary

I am making a batch of wine at my cottage(because the water is awesome), but I won't have time to clarify and stabilize this weekend and it has been in the primary for 14 days. Should I rack it to leave until next week end or leave it in the primary? Thanks in advance.

    Newby

I have never made mead. Is there a basic guide or steps you follow? There seem to recipes, but the actually steps are lost to me. Also, does anyone commercially make mead. I would love to taste it; however, all the recipes sounds so good I might as well try it.

    Sugar or barley

So, about to bottle some Bock from a Festa Brew kit. I used the prescribed sugar my first time, a friend says he prefers Barley. What is the difference? If the sugar adds sweetness and the barley doesn't that may be a seller for me as this bock seems a bit sweet already. Thanks in advance for...

    Racked too soon?

Hey kids, a beginner on my second FestaBrew kit. I made a very good pale ale in my first attempt, but my wife and I wanted a little stronger brew and our house is cool these winter months, so I looked for a lager yeast that will allow for a lower temp. However, the Bock I got from FestaBrew...

    PET bottles

So, I am looking to use the 500ml P.E.T. bottles for my next batch. Before I buy them I would like some more info. The post about reusing is cut off. Can I reuse the caps etc.? Here is what I am looking at. http://www.homebrew-supplies.ca/viartshop/product_details.php?category_id=63&item_id=544
