Grainfather - How far can I pump my wort post-chiller

I'm ordering a riptide to attempt the upgrade myself and when I search for "c14 converter" on Amazon, many different results as re returned. Most of which appear to be clover leaf to a standard female kettle adapter. If you're still about, would you mind confirming which type you use? Or could...

WLP4626 advice on a tricky decision

Hi folks, just to let you know that the beer's been bubbling away now for the last 24 hours. Now to see whether it carries on. I'll give it a week and take a gravity reading. I'm really curious to see how it comes out, what with the mix of liquid yeast, brett and dry yeast.

WLP4626 advice on a tricky decision

Thank you folks. I'll take that on board. Now to aerate or not aerate? That is the question! The yeast was in my garage fridge. I just hadn't realised how long I'd left it in there, utterly my fault and no way I'd deserve a refund. Imagine if they started refunding folk due to being idiots...

WLP4626 advice on a tricky decision

http://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrecipe/823553/mb-brett-saison On Friday 24th June I made this recipe. I have to say I've never had a brewday go so well (or so I thought!). Pitched two vials of this yeast and sat back ready for fermentation, rubbing my hands with glee. Currently...

Recipe Assistance First Time Brett Saison

It'll be bottle as our houses are a tad pokey in the UK (Smallest in Europe in fact). Kegs aren't really a practical option for me. Still it adds an extra layer of insulation to the garage having the (mostly) full bottles lining the walls.

Recipe Assistance First Time Brett Saison

m00ps - "I always add honey into the fermentor to preserve its character best. It also gives the yeast a little boost of fuel.' I'll try it at flame out then and hope that that should kill any major nasties. "I'd take out the caramel malt though and just add more base malt" I've...

Recipe Assistance First Time Brett Saison

Greetings from the UK I'm a long time amused lurker and leecher of this forums knowledge, but this is only my second post (essentially because it’s a rather expensive recipe and if I cock it up I may be in marital strife). I've brewed saisons before but never with any brett, or honey, or...

    Saison not stuck but slow?

Hello folks, I'm looking to brew a saison next week and am looking for some advice. Hailing from rainy and windswept Blighty I have had good results using a thermostatic immersion heater and temperature probe to heat my home brew. Given the high fermentation heat that a saison requires am I...
