    Cooling/volume questions

First, I finally got a propane burner, the dark star, and started brewing with that. I noticed that my beer is a lot darker so I am going to upgrade to a 10 gallon pot. Will I need to change around anything for extract kits if I start with 6 gallons instead of 2.5? My other issue is with...

    No Foam on 10ft Hoses

After a few months of work I finally got my keezer together. I used 10ft hose lengths like many suggested, but I have 0 foam. I am already at 14psi, should I up it a bit more? ~40 degrees.

Building Temp Controlled Fermentor, Need Input

Since my Keezer is coming along nicely I thought it was time to turn my attention to another issue, fermentation. Right now I simply use a closet to store my fermenting carboys, but the temperature swings a bit in there so I am wanting to make something a bit more precise. I am going out and...

First batch of caribou slobber, is looks a little off color to me

I shined a light on it earlier today since it really is pitch dark in this closet and it looked a little green. Is this how its supposed to look?. I know the temperature is a little low but it has been done fermenting for several days. I opened up the door to let it get back up into the 65-70...

First brew, nb caribou slobber extract question

Just did my first kit, and I'm seeing conflicting information on whether to move it to secondary after fermentation is complete, after a few weeks, or just leaving it in primary for a month and letting it slowly carb up in a keg for a few weeks after

    Returning to Brewing/Keg storage question

I brewed a few batches of extract a few years ago but stopped because..well we never had anywhere to put all the bottles. Now that I've moved to a bigger house I've been staring at a deep freezer I never use and decided to start brewing again. I will be using a commercially made three tap...
