    Mead has always been a flat drink. The best way to make it carb is to force inject it ifvyou really want to go down that road. Too dangerous otherwise. Best bottles for mead is usually clear wine bottles or swing top bottles. But it's a preference thing.

    So have you ever tasted mead before? Dont worry it usually doesnt taste anything like that. Although if you can I suggest finding a bottle of traditional mead to get a baseline. The most common is chaucers which is pretty sweet. Some like it some dont. It does smell a little funny though.

    Holy crap you buy the same honey as me lol. How do you like their snowberry? I have had their wildflower and clover and both are pretty good.

    FYI the problem with using bread yeast is sometimes it dies out early leaving it too sweet. It happens. Aging will help though.

    first attempt at mead making

    Not sure if it was stated yet, however the recipie calls for 3.5lbs honey per gallon, not 3. That would explain the dryness.
