    Water for lagers/pils suggestions

    My local water is drawn from a limestone aquifer, with a consistent, well buffered Ph of 8.4. PERFECT for African cichlids, beer not so much. I don't even try making ales with it. My current realistic choices are spring water, distilled, or Primo water. Which would you suggest for pils?

    Ramping up for lagers.

    I'm currently using a 1L flask and 1/2 gal. glass container for ale starters. I understand lager/pils need higher cell counts. What do you suggest for starter container size?

    Yeast strain guidance

    Planning on brewing an EPA this weekend, and have a choice between wyeast 1945 Neobrittania and 1968. SG 1.056. As a old/new brewer, I don't have a lot of experience with liquid yeasts, and am seeking guidance from those more experienced on the issue.
