    oaked Yeti clone

I just brewed this yesterday following a recipe close to the original after an exhaustive internet search. My OG is 1.094 so I figure I'm off to a good start. I've oaked some stouts in the past soaking oak chips in bourbon for about 2 weeks and then adding them to secondary for 5-7 days but this...

I just picked up the following from my local homebrew shop in hopes that I can brew a more sessionable beer with serious hop flavor, similar to a lagunitas daytime...I'm hoping for about 5% abv, let me know what you think. I'm adding a little rye for some spice 6lbs muntons extra light dme...

    Double ipa carbonation problem

Thanks everyone, the bottles are stored in my basement whichisprobably closer to 60 degrees and at about 8% abv I can see why it'll take a while to carb. I did add 5 oz of dry hops total so I can see the cloudiness being an issue. Appreciate all of the info

    Hop additions for IIPA

I'm preparing to brew an imperial IPA and my goal I to achieve a hop monster in the aroma and flavor categories, but not something overpoweringly bitter. My consistently favorite brewery is Lagunitas and I want to emulate their aromas (maximus, little sumpin, sucks as my favorite examples). My...

Bourbon Oaked Dry-hopped Russian Imperial Stout

I purchased the brewers best RIS kit from my local homebrew shop and I'm thinking about tweaking it a bit; advice would be greatly appreciated. The kit came with the following ingredients: 6.6lbs dark LME 2lb Dark DME 8oz maltodextrin 8oz caramel 60L 8oz roasted barley 8oz black patent...

    First time long time

It was actually the rogue brutal ipa kit, but you're right in saying that it sounds more like a bitter. I think I'll try to up the malt and late hops for my next brew, any hop recommendations for a really citrusy and piney finish? Also, what color dme to mimic stone ipa? Thanks

    First time long time

just tasted my first homebrew in 15 years, tried a rogue brutal bitter kit from brewcraft, and it's not too bad it not great. The kit only used one aroma/flavor hop variety, crystal, and it's not nearly as floral, and hoppy and interesting as my favorite beers (stone ipa, lagunitas Maximus...
