    Need to go electric...

Right, separate 240V and 120V inputs, like this:

    Need to go electric...

I didn't see the 1V system, but if it's based on the eController that has separate 240V (L6-30) and 120V (5-15) inputs.

    Need to go electric...

Yeah, that requires a 30A circuit.

    Need to go electric...

If you have no big expansion plans the most cost effective way would be to run a 240V, 20A circuit and use a 6-20R receptacle. The Grainfather would be a direct plug-in. There have been suggestions to "future proof" by putting in a 30A or 50A 120/240V circuit and I'm not expressly against that...

    What are you drinking now?

First pours of a maibock brewed on Jan 1, 2024. Maybe a hair darker than expected, but tasty none the less.

    What are you drinking now?

Sample from new batch of wine, just out of clearing and into bottling. Old vine merlot but, alas, it's a bit too young just yet. I think it'll be decent with a bit more time. Put roughly 4 gal in a Nitrogen purged corny and 1.5 gal in bottles.

Pickled gizzards in the big jars is just too much visually. Reminds me of the science lab things in jars of formaldehyde. I know several people that like them, the gizzards that is, but y'all can have my share no problem. :)

Milling grains - corded vs. cordless drill

Reads like you already have a working setup. Considering your comment I quoted, why reinvent the wheel from something that sounds not well suited for the task anyway?

    Wow!!!!!

Pretty much all craft beers are $$ to buy. Around here they are VERY proud of the local MN wines too.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

Yet, the fact remains sales are not as expected so they are discounting, which makes it all that much worse. It's already been quoted and requoted, “revenue is dropping faster than we can take out the cost.”. Ouch.

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Sliced and stacked for packing in ~1/2 lb portions. That's one of the two chunks, less the first and last slices.

    need to rebuild a controller

Re. the large heat sink, some wires exit the enclosure and appear like they probably attach to something (SSR?) externally attached to the heat sink.

Pork belly last Tuesday, bacon tonight.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

Seems you have misunderstood my point, presuming that's sorta for me since I brought up a pickup with long range capability.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

I drive a truck that can do 600+ mi on a single fill. There are still times when the tank gets low and next fill point concerns come to mind. It happens regardless of fuel and regardless of range. Piss poor planning or victim of circumstance, regardless, it happens.

Gardening 2024 - Whatcha got going on this year?

We do a few things in containers; a couple kinds of tomatoes like Black Krim and Brandywine, some jalapenos, probably a serrano or two.

    Any HVAC experts out there?

That seems like a lot for an evaporator coil, but maybe the heat pump aspect makes it cost more.

    Best line from a song

Figured there'd be a lot more Floyd by now, but maybe that's too easy. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way And then one day you find ten years have got behind you Pink Floyd, Time
