    starter option?

    I use the no chill method and am about to pitch wlp550. Could I just take a suitable amount of wort after the boil, put it in a sanitised container, cool it quickly, and pitch the vial into it (lets call this my starter). When the remainder of the wort has cooled (I usually leave it overnight)...

    IBU or AA

    Hi, I see on some beer specs that an IBU and a AA value is given. For example one beer is specced at 80 IBU and also 75 AA. I understand that they are both a bitterness measurements, but that's about it. Can someone explain further please, Cheers

    Hello from Wales

    Hi all, new Brewer from Wales, although I've been doing tinned kits for while, have now moved on to extract and am looking forward to getting into all grain at some future point. You US brewers don't know how lucky you are with the choice and range of brewing supplies at your disposal !!

    Floaters

    I recently bottled a wai-iti single hop extract kit and noticed some pinhead sized floaters. A few days before bottling I used Beer Finings. I thought that these would drop out but after almost a week at 22C, they have congregated at the neck Does anyone know what they are, and will they...
