NOOB Question: Rotate Half Full Kegs???

Is it OK to rotate kegs that are fully carbed and under pressure with new batches for some variety? I have a two-tap kegerator and the kegs on now are about 1/2 and 2/3 full...meanwhile I have 4 other brews in various stages. Can I take these 2 off and rotate on 2 full kegs to force carb and...

Munich Helles Dead Guy Clone (Extract & AG- see note)

Maybe they are...i'm a NOOB! This is my 6th batch, 3rd that is from a recipe off HomeBrewTalk. I've been reading through the forums and seeing a lot of contradictory statements, and my first 3 kits suggested using a secondary. Should I leave it in primary for 3-4, then condition in the keg for...

Munich Helles Dead Guy Clone (Extract & AG- see note)

Dead Guy is one of my favorites...going to brew today for a homebrew Oktoberfest party in 5 weeks. I'm planning on 1-2 weeks in primary with another week in secondary (3 weeks total) then let it mellow in a keg for another 2 weeks. Do you think that will be enough time? I'm using Pacman that I...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Gearing up for a home brew Oktoberfest (not all German style beers, but who's complaining) for last weekend in October. Brewed a Belgian IPA last night and going to do a dead guy clone this weekend. Thats roughly about 5 weeks from kettle to keg tap, should be enough time to mellow with 2 weeks...

    New Belgium Belgo

Thanks for the heads up...I've found conflicting info on the Internet so I've emailed NBB. As for the yeast I have growing its actually from bear republic Racer 5, I've collected 3 bottles of Belgo dregs and was about to start it up tonight. I guess I'll wait for a response from NBB.

    New Belgium Belgo

Thanks...was this for your original 6 gal batch size or scaled down for a 5 gal extract batch? I'll hunt around for some belgian IPA extract recipes for ideas for steeping grains. I harvested yeast from 3 bottles of Belgo over the weekend and have been stepping up slowly so I can brew this up...

    New Belgium Belgo

So how'd it turn out? Belgo is one of my favorites. Yours looks great in the glass...any way you can upload an extract version? It'll be a couple years before I make the transition to all-grain.
