    so many hops...so little time

So I have once again revised my hop schedule. With an est. OG at 1.064, I came up with ~68 ibus 60min .5oz Chinook 29ibu 20min 1oz Citra 22ibu 10min 1oz Centennial 9ibu 5min 1oz Simcoe 8ibu 0min 1oz Centennial Dry hop 1oz Citra 1oz Centennial 1oz Simcoe I think that sounds like it will end...

    so many hops...so little time

Picked up another oz of Centennial for the dry hop, and also grabbed a couple oz of Simcoe(couldn't help myself). So ill drop the 60min to .5oz Chinook. Then maybe add a 5min addition of Simcoe?? Should add a little more of that pine flavor I'm looking for, but might get "muddy". Thoughts 60min...

    5L Two Hearted mini kegs!?!

No you do not need a kegerator and yes they are force carbed. They have a tiny release valve on the top w/ a spigot on the bottom. You should definitely consume in a couple days (not that its ever an issue). Cheers!

    so many hops...so little time

I like that idea, still trying to get the rhythm down from primary, to secondary, to bottle so I can be steadily brewing. Still kind of new to this, but getting better with every batch. Cheers!

Rye IPA -- but no Amarillo available?

I would use the Chinook for the bitter hops, esp if your going for that founders red rye bite. Never used Apollo but sounds interesting w/ a danky type aroma that could play nice with the Chinook. I'd say go for Chinook bitter, Columbus/Apollo for flavor and aroma, then dry hop all 3! That...

    5L Two Hearted mini kegs!?!

I wish! Never tasted the infamous Pliny.. Have had the pleasure of 3Fs Zombie Dust from the father in-law, that was a treat. Still waiting for the Pliny, or any of the west coast beers for that matter, other than SN and Anchor

    5L Two Hearted mini kegs!?!

Too small of a town to get much variety, just lucky enough for my local liquor store to sell bells and founders... and 3 floyds, now that I think about it, there is some decent variety lol!

    5L Two Hearted mini kegs!?!

Anyone else seen these 5L mini kegs of Two Hearted. I was on my end-of-the-week trip to my local beer supplier when I stumbled on the TH 5L that was only $22.99! Needless to say I'm in Centennial bliss and dreaming of my next batch (which has a few oz Centennial). Anyway always enjoy great beer...

    Advice on American Amber/IPA

I have just bottled my first batch of home brew and am excited to get started on a second. My first batch was an extract recipe for an APA that has been tasting great so far. I have been thinking of using the AHS red IPA kit, but changing the hop schedule a little to make it more my own. I'm...
