American Pale Ale Nierra Sevada (Session SNPA Clone)

tried out a bottle that was bottled 12/12/12, and oh my it is delightful. Here is the aftermath of it paired with Fish and Chips. It is no coincidence that I'm the last one to leave the table. Will be adding this brew to the rotation! Thanks BM!

English Porter Black Pearl Porter (AG)

I bottle this recipe Nov 15 and chilled one last night for a sip this evening. The taste was fantastic. Wife liked it too. Plans are to give most of it away as Christmas presents. I reckon I will be brewing another batch this weekend. My FG came in at 1020 with an calculated ABV of...

    Belgian Dubbel Ommegang Abbey Dubbel

Just got this batch into the secondary. SG was 1090. Gravity into the secondary is at 1020. Smells fantastic. I used a brew belt for the primary and oh my did it ferment. Had wanted to rack into the secondary over the weekend but the krausen was still quite thick. Cleared this...

    Plated washer in Mash Tun

I have had no luck finding stainless steel fender washers that fit around the nipple inside the mash tun. Is it ok to use plated washers inside? The set up inside is 2 rubber washers, a modified plated fender washer and a copper threaded female to slip on fitting

    Plastic Crates at Canadian Tire

Yikes, you're right: 20 bottles Grolsch bottles. The crate will also hold 30 regular 340ml bottles neatly. I'm pretty sure that it was a sale price. They had them stacked right next to the cash register. Almost tripped over them.

    Plastic Crates at Canadian Tire

I was picking up a turkey fryer kit at Canadian Tire and I found these plastic crates. 8.99 for 3 crates. They fit 24 Grolsch swing top bottles perfectly. We'll see how they flex when the bottle are full. ;)
