    One of my SS pots has some etching from 1 week of contact with star-san. Don't know how quickly etching happens, but SS doesn't seem like a good storage material. I store mine in an HDPE 5 gal bucket from Ace Hardware and have never noticed sliminess... I'm going to go check now.
