    Darned white-ring in the bottle

Nope. No DME. Mold or other floating film.

    Darned white-ring in the bottle

I'm a little paranoid about that. When I was a kid, 30 years ago, my dad brewed a batch of root beer and had a chain reaction incident. I think like 6 or bottles went off at once. I have a little PTSD from the clean up. I store my bottles in big Rubbermaid bins with lids until they go in the fridge.

    Darned white-ring in the bottle

OK, I feel dirty. But I'm a grown up and can admit my failures and learn from them. I bottled a batch of citrus ale two weeks ago and now I have white rings of "stuff" floating in the necks of my bottles. I know what happened. I let the sanitized bottles sit overnight before filling. Dumb, I...

    Secondary infected?

Tastes and smells fine. Not too thin. SG went from 1.015 to 1.010. I'd bottle it now if it would quit moving!

    Secondary infected?

OK. I'm back for some more reassurance. The above batch is still in the secondary and after more than two weeks is unchanged. Still looks exactly like the picture above. Fine white foam at top, with layer of hops above. Churning. Still OK?

    Secondary infected?

Here's a picture. It's been in the secondary for a week. Lots of tiny bubbles and hops rolling around.

    Secondary infected?

First off. Thanks for this forum!! Only been on a couple days and already hooked. That said. Help. I have an IPA in my secondary that is churning like crazy and has a layer of fine, white foam on top. It went in the secondary at .002 over FG so I didn't expect this much activity. I'm afraid...
