    Lager yeast selection

In my experience, saflager 34/70 has been a great, clean dry yeast. I have used it on a Munich Helles and German Pils with very good results. 2 rehydrated packets for 5 gallons gets you the cell count you need.

Should I add Citra to this IPA?

Not destined to use Citra, but just checked my supplies and it turns out I only have 2oz of Simcoe to play with. For the revised non-citra hop schedule I'm thinking the following: 60min - Magnum 15min - 1oz Simcoe+Amarillo Knockout - 1oz Simcoe + Amarillo Dry Hop - 2oz Amarillo Citra...

Should I add Citra to this IPA?

I'm not opposed to more hops either. I could do the 1oz of Simcoe+Amarillo at 15 then again at knockout. What about a 3oz dry hop with a combo of Citra and Simcoe? Thinking 2oz Simcoe and 1oz Citra.

Rhizomes Shipped - Plant in Pot or Ground?

I just got notice that my hops are being shipped. Up until a week ago I had planned on planting them in some containers I have on hand, however I had to cut down a tree and there is now space to put them in the ground. This place has good sunlight, so that is not a concern. Anybody have...

    Question about Wyeast Roselare

No problem - the Wyeast guy said to not hesitate to email him again if I have further questions, so if any of you have anything else you are wondering, let me know. How are you all planning on (or currently handling) temperature control? If this will be sitting for a year, my initial thought...

    Question about Wyeast Roselare

The response from wyeast was really fast: "This is a pretty common question. I typically give an answer based on my personal experience with this type of brew. I have done a few brews with the blend and have left all of the yeast in the primary for 1 year and have had excellent result doing...
