    Let's talk minivans

My wife recently picked up a Honda Odyssey and so far so good. I must say, for a mini-van it's quite pimp. The DVD system is a life saver for long trips with a two year old. The GPS and built in XM are nice too, and it's amazing how handy the backup camera is.

    Yet another newbie...

Bumping a two year old post? I thought I taught my little brother better than that! ;) Ha! As you can see, I'm more of a lurker than anything here. Still very much enjoying the site, but it seems my time is so limited due to work and daddy duties for posting, much less actually brewing...

    bottling sux

One thing I do to avoid a big mess is to put my bottling bucket on the kitchen counter above my dishwasher. I open the dishwasher up and fill the bottles up on the open door. When I'm finished I simply close the door and any beer that may have leaked out all over the open door is contained in...

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

I just started my 3rd batch this past weekend. Love this stuff and so has everyone else that has tried it following Ed's original recipe. So.... = 4820

    Parts List, missing anything?

I think the primary difference is just ease of use. In addition the bottling bucket's spigot will provide a bit of dead-space allowing any sediment to remain on the bottom of the bucket undisturbed. Again, just a newbie's opinion. :) If you are buying from AHS, I would get that Deluxe Siphon...

    Parts List, missing anything?

I'm still a rookie - going to start my 4th batch this weekend provided the wife does not go into labor (although, I'm sure she will just as I get started on my mini-mash as luck would have it) I would 2nd the opinion of getting a bottling wand and a bottling bucket with spigot as it...

    Yet another newbie...

Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll check the schedule to see if I'm available, things are a bit hectic lately with a little one on the way but it would be great to meet up. I'm with you on enjoying Weizens year around - but I think for my next batch I'll try something a little more robust...
