    Hops in old Storage bins?

If it were me, I’d keep em each in their own pot, you’ll see why soon enough.

I use 22oz bombers all the time for kegging leftovers, never a problem ...the co2 just goes into the beer as planned

lol the moral of the story, good mead takes time ;)

    Yeast cake question

I'd imagine what you're witnessing is the growth phase, it doesn't float until the CO2 starts getting produced. The actual fermentation phase (and krausen) should commence shortly. RDWHAHB

    Storing in kegs

Oh Jeeze.... prolly just a couple weeks .... after that, you better send it to me for disposal. Seriously, refrigerated ? perhaps a year? ....easily 3-4 months tho. Depends on style and sanitation procedures

New equipment, when is it "to big"

Dump 18 gallons of water in there and do a 60 min boil to evaluate your boil off ( have to do it sooner or later) That’ll get you ready to try it out for a 15 gal batch

New equipment, when is it "to big"

I would think you’d be better off using it as the boil kettle

Dry Hopping With Pellets - How do YOU do it?

I just pour them into the fermenter, they naturally settle to the bottom and by the time I’m ready to keg I don’t have to worry about them

What does this recipe make? (Grandpa's mystery brew)

I’m thinking it would the the start of a pretty big batch of moonshine. It certainly doesn’t sound too attractive a drink right out of the barrel

    CO2 pressure drop question....

As reported above, totally expected when you chill the tank. Personally, I don’t think the cold and moisture is good for the regulator, so I leave mine outside the kegerator at room temp. YMMV
