    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Is there any possibility of adding a cooling function to the software. Preferably using a hysteresis method. I'm trying to set up a glycol setup and would help out tremendously.

    Best Design for Glycol Chiller

I just built a controller for the brewery I work for to do this exact thing with a bcs 462. We used 12v ball valves as some of the other local breweries have had issues with the 12 and 110 volt solenoid sticking in the open or closed position if sediment gets in the system. So far it is working...

    mixing beer at the tap

I have a small keezer that will only fit 2-3 kegs, and for some reason I am enamored with the idea of having the option to have a separate tap that is a blend of 2 taps. IE, I could have a sour and a farmhouse and choose to have a farmhouse, a sour, or a sour farmhouse. I know that you can...

    32 jet burner

So my wife bought me a 32 jet propane burner as a gift, thinking that if the one I have on my amazon wish list is good, then 3 times bigger is better right?.. So my question is, how much less insane are these on low pressure? How many jets would I need to plug to not melt the bottom of my...

    keggle lid

I also ordered the 12 inches, received them yesterday. They are going to take up the majority of the top of the keggle, bit that is exactly what I wanted for ease of cleaning.

    keggle lid

OK so I finally found some cheap. 5 bucks a piece from www.foodservicewarehouse.com Checked 3 thrift stores today to absolutely no avail. Can't speak to much for the service I will get from food service warehouse, but 20 bucks shipped for all 3 isn't bad.

    keggle lid

Sadly the IKEA that's being built here in the KC area won't be finished till sometime next year... Didn't even really think about thrift stores. May have to hit some up tomorrow.

    keggle lid

For those that have purchased lids for keggles, has any one found a 12 inch lid to use on keggles in an actual brick and mortar store? I would prefer to buy local for this and have checked wal-mart, target, bed bath and beyond and a few local kitchen supply stores only finding 10 inch lids...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

I have done one as biab, worked fine for me. It just resulted in sightly lower efficiency vs a 2 gallon mashtun.

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

I use them as my primarys and secondarys and have a ton since they are one of the only juices not from concentrate readily available out there that's not super expensive (wife is on a diet that restricts not from concentrate). The juice in them makes pretty decent cider as well, just seems to...

    my first really stuck fermentation

I would imagine that it would probably also be smart to add the dme in doses over a period of time? Or would it be best just to add till it hits the desired over all gravity?

    my first really stuck fermentation

It was all grain, if it was a case of mashing to hot, is there any way to fix this? Add dme?

    my first really stuck fermentation

I did shake to aerate originally, but I fear I may not have shaken it up quite enough...

    my first really stuck fermentation

I actually lost the original yeast packet some how so I used s05. It said that it was good till mid this year. After pitching, I had them fermenting in the basement where the temp did drop the first day to the 50s, so I figured it would just be a slow restart as it warmed up when I brought them...

    my first really stuck fermentation

So I brewed up a 1 gallon batch from Brooklyn brew shop (blonde ale) and it came out with a lower of than I figured. After producing an initial krausen the fermentation stopped dead, I pitched yeast nutrients and a little bit of new yeast. I think my problem is that it wasn't aerated enough...

1 gallon Brooklyn brew shop question

Again, thank you to every one that has responded. I figured that if I messed up my first brew, a gallon isn't too heart breaking to dump. I am going to try to pick up a mini fridge to use as a fermentation chamber in the future, as I plan on keeping batches small (1-3 gallons) until I fully wrap...

1 gallon Brooklyn brew shop question

Sweet! This is what I was hoping, and since it is only a gallon batch I figured any activity would be more minimal due to the volume. Thanks to every one for the extremely quick responses.

1 gallon Brooklyn brew shop question

Being my first brew, I was an idiot and did not buy any thing to measure gravity with... the yeast in their kit I believe is s-04. It spent about the first 72 hours at about 80 degrees, and then has spent the past week at about 75. Since the initial krausen, it has shown no activity.

1 gallon Brooklyn brew shop question

I recently started brewing my first batch of beer with the all grain kit from Brooklyn brew shop (grapefruit honey ale) and all went perfect, until fermentation. It produced a Krausen but then it seemed that fermentation stopped... the weather here in KC is ridiculously hot right now and it's...
