    Substitute for booster?

    Is there something I can substitute for the ABV "Booster" that comes with Mr. Beer recipes?

    What is booster?

    Im ready to start mt 3rd Mr. Beer batch, and have a question... On their web site, they have "Recipes", which include "Pouch Booster" and the HME. They also have "Refills" which just have HME. What is the difference? What does the booster do, and is it needed? Thanks!

    2.5 gallon kits?

    Does anyone make 2.5 gallon kits/recipes besides Mr. Beer? I know I can make small batches in 6 gallon buckets, but 3 gallon would be easier to handle for my space.
