Why does Malt Liquor taste so bad?

Same. A few years back I grabbed a 6 pack of Hand grenades to drink while working on my car. My roommate found me sitting here singing along to the radio with 6 empties...

    Hops and Allergy relief

I wouldn't be all too surprised. I use local honey as a helper for my allergies. It's something about low dosing yourself with allergens somehow helping your system cope.

    Toilet overflowing

both my Wife and B.I.L. do this to me all the time. it's some kind of mystery "kind of, almost plug" somewhere down the line. It looks like a clean flush, but for the next person to use it's going to be an issue. It's gotten to where I can hear the flush from the next room and I know. I come...

Poll: What is your investment in homebrewing?

Not necessarily. Even though I've spent some coin here or there, even brewing extract, I can brew 5 gallons of quality beer for the same price or even less than some low quality BMC beer. 2 cases of PBR runs about $40 all the ingredients to make a 5 gallon extract batch are $30-$60ish...

The [very cool] doctor who thread

I remember watching Doctor who on PBS as a kid in the very early 80's at my Grandma's on PBS. I was THRILLED to see it come back. Billie Piper? I don't know why, But I thought she was easy on the eyes. With that said, I was thinking I need to brew up something related to. Dalek IPA...

Immersion Chillers, full throttle or trickle?

NO. faster is NOT always better. you need to give the water flowing through the chiller time to pick up the heat from the wort. I have a 25' 3/8" homemade chiller and find its best to start out fast, but slow the flow as the temp comes down.

    Cleaning beer ang gas lines

between each keg I run the PBW solution out the tap, then warm water then sanitizer. I figure I've already got it in the keg, might as well run it through the lines.
