I haven't heard back from ampsnohms so I guess this is still available.

    Massachusetts (FS cheap) Fermentation fridge

I have a fermentation mini-fridge with a Johnson A419 temperature controller. It will fit one ale-pail comfortably, or two better buckets as a tight squeeze. The insulation was "modified" to fit buckets easier, so this isn't really fit for use as a normal fridge anymore. Price: 12 of your...

New England June 2015 Grain Buy

Hey, I hate to be that guy, but I can't make it to the pickup this weekend. Can someone grab my order for me and we'll arrange pickup from there? My order is 6 full bags, no splits. I live in Waltham and could pick it up Saturday or Sunday evenings.

New England June 2015 Grain Buy

Redman et al., there's no need to be rude. Crazyirishman is doing us all a huge favor by running the buy. If you don't want to pay shipping costs or don't like the pickup time or location, don't sign up! It's a bulk buy, not a charity. These prices are the best I can get anywhere, even with...

New England June 2015 Grain Buy

Does everyone know something I don't? There are four pilsner malts on the list - CM-SPIL, BZ-PILS, FB-PILS and GB-PILS. Everyone but me is ordering BZ-PILS or FB-PILS, which are both more expensive than CM-SPIL. Is there a reason? Can people tell the difference?

New England June 2015 Grain Buy

I'd like a bag of Rauchmalt (beechwood smoked). I see BZ-SMOK on the CMG website and price list, but not on the spreadsheet. Can you add it? Thanks!

FT: [Somerville, MA] Clean, empty bottles for 1 full bottle

I have a bunch of clean and empty bottles without labels that I no longer need. Bring me a beer (commercial or homebrew, but not BMC) and take as many bottles as you want in exchange. They've been sitting for a while, so they might need a quick rinse for dust before use, but they've all been...

    Victory as a base malt?

sptaylor has given me a good idea. How much crystal malt would I need to add to make up for the dryness imparted by the victory?

    Victory as a base malt?

Interesting all. That's a lot of great info. I'm still interested in blowing the biscuit taste way out of proportion. How about a grain bill like this? 60 percent Marris otter 25 percent Biscuit 15 percent Victory I'll probably keep this beer no bigger than 1.045. There's no reason to...
