    BCS Brown Ale help

Brewed the dirty water brown from BCS last week and it came out too sweet (sweeter than I remember). I mashed a bit high, but I think it may be the recipe too. Thinking of dropping the Crystal 60 and upping the Victory to a half-pound, maybe more. I start with 10 gallons of RO and end up with...

    Favorite/Worst Cheap Beer?

Not a beer, but people shouldn't turn their noses up at blended scotch. Some great blends out there. Anyways, I'll drink a Coors or Labatt's Blue, but will not serve a Carling even if I don't like you.

    Robobrew/Brewzilla Discussion

I love my 2 vessel, no sparge system for reducing oxidation in the mash. But I am beginning to hate inefficient propane and am thinking about electric. Anyone here no sparge a 3 or 3.5 gallon batch on their robobrews? I was thinking of just fermenting and serving out of a 5 gallon corny keg...

    Canadian Roll Call!!

Hi all, I thought many of my fellow canucks might enjoy these two links about beer taxes in Canada, and provincial taxes in Ontario. They help clear up some misinformation that is out there. Federal taxes: http://saintjohnswort.ca/fun-numbers-excise-tax-remittance-edition/ Ontario provincial...

Batch Sparge vs No Sparge acid additions

What? Like how large is the quantity required? For a yellow beer, I usually have to add 3ml. Tops.

The OFFICIAL Low Oxygen Brewing Thread, AKA lodo, lowdo, LOB

I'm a propane brewer, but does anyone use a heat stick to cut down on pre-boil times? If Yes, do you find it is worth the investment?

1st LODO attempt: a brown ale. Brewed August 26, 2017. Probably one of the last full pints from the keg.

As long as you tip it and you dont hear or feel any bubble, then i think you're good. Any foaming of star san on the way out, like beer foaming out the facet when a keg kicks will be bubbles of CO2. Not air.
