Sweet setup. Thanks for the suggestion. I like the look of the integrated drip tray. I had thought I didn't want mine that way, so the taps are not spaced to fit a tray like that.

What's left are drip trays, and some method/system to control all the hoses/tubing inside. My one big planning error was to fail to note the level of the top of 5 gal ball lock kegs as they would sit in the fridge, and then set the level of the tap hole high enough to have good clearance for the...

The 2 top shelves just still fit & pint glasses fit on the shelf. The drawer freezer below is full of chilled pint glasses so I'll likely use these shelves for something else.

The 2 way manifold needed to be in the center of the fridge box, so I took the center shelf bracket out, cut as far up as possible to still allow a shelf to fit. Added 2 plastic moly screw holes & heavy duty Velcro & now the manifold is where it needs to be.

The regulator assembly went into the left door much more easily after all the testing & false starts on the right door.

The 3 tap holes on the left door. The far left was the last drilled & the pilot bit in the center of the hole saw bit snapped in 2 half way through the drill. RIP

Cutting the first hole in the door took me a while to get up the courage. After consultation at the hardware store we used this 1" bimetal hole saw.

And here's a closeup of the door assembly in place. The other door should be pretty easy now that we know how we are going to do it/what actually works. I hope that part, and the work to drill/install the taps into the doors can get done this weekend.

And in fact that expansion system worked nicely. Here's the right door complete.

...which I'm still convinced would have been the perfect solution here, except... the blue metal insert was about an inch too long and could not get all the in the hole before butting up against the inside of the metal door skin. We tried cutting and bending them but no go. These buggers...

    French door refrigerator kegerator project

As you can see, getting this sucker to actually bite and hold was a *****. There was not enough resistance by the foam insulation to keep the whole insert from spinning, so we held it with vice grips then turned the screw (an operation that requires 2 people - thank you John!) until the insert...

But it was clear the plastic moly/Velcro system would not be strong enough to hold the 2 heavy door regulator modules. Again, after consultation with John and the hardware store, I opted for the 1 piece metal moly type screw, which after installation in the hole, and the screw is tightened...
