    Still not an IPA guy

    I am a huge IPA lover, and was not a fan of the Ruthless Rye. Perhaps try some kind of IPA collaboration. Deschutes (OR) makes a White IPA or Dogfish head's Aprihop may be an interesting route to try. These IPAs are less bitter and more Floral.

    Virtually no carbonation?

    You will be surprised how much more carbonation you get after 3 weeks vs 1 week. And even more surprised about the difference from 3 weeks vs 5 weeks...just try to be patient, although I know it can be difficult. :-)
