Help identifying these pin lock keg posts?

Thanks! That settles it for me then, I'll try to brush these up and try to get some of these plastic post inserts. Thanks for your help!

Help identifying these pin lock keg posts?

Yes! My kegs are all steel, too. Do you know if there are replacements available for these posts?

Help identifying these pin lock keg posts?

Pictures of the posts, and comparison to another pin lock of a smaller (regular?) size... I am trying to recondition some old kegs and cannot seem to track down what kind of posts these are. What is puzzling me is that they seem to be much taller and have a wider interior diameter than the...

    Belgian corking

Well, I opened up my 375ml with the cork, and it was pretty tough! It didn't break, but it took a good minute of twisting with a kitchen towel for grip before it came loose. I am thinking the cork was too deep in the bottle, but I am wondering if there is some other trick to employ to make these...

    Belgian corking

i'm not that experienced myself, but it sure seems like corking homebrew in belgian bottles is the final frontier- it is hard to find definitive tips or walkthroughs on the different corkers, whether to soak or not, etc. i just gave it my best shot. i've got a batch that i recently did- i...

Looking for input on a Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale

Just in case anyone was curious, after 3+ months of bottle conditioning, the final result on this beer was a "meh". The pumpkin is clear in the aroma, but I taste no spice at all with only slight pumpkin flavor. Additionally, the wife says that it tastes more of banana than pumpkin. Lastly...

    Used 5 Gallon Whiskey Barrels

I recently purchased one of these from that site. Since they are used, does anyone know how much care I need to put in before I drop my Stout in there? Should I fill it with water to check for leaks, use campden, throw a handle of bourbon in there? So confused...

    NB Hefeweizen Gravity Experiment

I brewed this kit recently (minus all your additions), used a 1 ltr starter. Just bottled last night, and my sample seemed a little sweet. Sat in the bucket for three weeks, and It was at 1.020 for five days before I pulled it out. In summary, maybe will be a little sweet? Mine is...

Looking for input on a Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale

Quick update to the Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale- I let it sit in the fermenting bucket for three weeks and pulled it out. FG of 1.008? Seems kind of low, not sure if I measured right. Strong boozy smell, which I am hoping will improve with some bottle conditioning. A taste of the couple of ounces I...

Looking for input on a Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale

I cooked the contents of the two 30oz cans in a pyrex at 350 until the mushed firmed up a little and got nicely browned up top. Chucked it in the freezer Dow a few hours and then brought it back to room temp. It added real easily to the wort. Airlock is bubbling away!

Looking for input on a Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale

Brewed last night. Pumpkin completely dissolved in the wort, smelled pretty good! I threw it in at just before 15 minutes left in the boil with the hops. Off in the bucket now, and I'm anxiously waiting for that airlock to start bubbling.

Looking for input on a Nut Brown Pumpkin Ale

Hey All, I had the idea of doing up a Pumpkin ale using an existing Nut Brown extract kit from Northern Brewer, and wanted to see if my method was reasonable or if I was way off: http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/nut-brown-ale-extract-kit.html I'm using the Wyeast NeoBritannia Yeast...
