    New plate chiller

    Thanks to my sister, this huge plate chiller went from cooling milk on her farm, to cooling another item on the food pyramid... BEER..:mug: It works great, takes wort from boiling to 70F in one pass, it only used about 10 gallons of water, and took about 2 minutes. I used to use about 50 gallons...

    Doesn't make sense

    So I have a beer that I make quite often, but my last batch has me stumped. If I open a beer that has not been put in the fridge, and pour it into a glass, it looks and tastes just perfect. If I take and put some of the same beer in the fridge and cool it down to like 38 or so, it has no head...

    was wondering how to go about bottling a lager. I have it in the primary at 50 degrees right now, which I plan on having it in there for a least 2 weeks or so. then bring it up to 68 degrees for a couple of days.     best temp for fermentation

    Was wondering if 47 degrees is to low to ferment a all grain amber ale. I want to use my kegerator to keep the wort cool, but it only goes down to 47. My basement right now is around 75 or so, wondering if that is to warm. It seems a lot harder to brew beer in the summer time.
