So brewed this about 3 months ago true to orignal except i use wyeast instead of white labs, cold conditioned it after primary was done, WOW this is a great beer a new staple on my schedule, thanks Ed for the reciepe!!!!

Cold, wet, ugly day in Mississippi, perfect day to brew a session strength pale ale, stuck to the reciepe!!

I brewed with Ben this weekend and saw this thing in action WOW what a great idea. I second anyone thinking of doing this, I have a bayou classic kettle and am seriously thinking about this build!!

Midwest has a Hop head double ipa kit that is amazing, always a hit

Wow that looks great, i see you dont have a 90 min hop addition, i must have misunderstood you i plan on doing a 90 min boil so we see eye to eye on that. Good looking receipe

I used some pacman that i washed on a double dead guy clone and that stuff was done in 4 days, it also dropped out like a rock!!

This is supposed to be an american barley wine, i usually do 90 min boils on alot of my beer to get the gravity where i want what i plan on doing is boil for 30 min then add my 60 min addition

Now its a five gallon grist but im gonna parti gyle this bad boy, i plan on brewing it here in a week or to and i will keep updating this to let you guys know how it comes out. Wish me luck CHEERS!!:mug:

So anyone who was intrested in this thread i didnt get much help on here so i went a few more avenues and came up with a pretty good receipe here it is im gonna try it out and hope for the best 24# Base Malt (2 Row, Maris or Golden Promise depending on your preference) 1# Caramel 10 1#...

Where im at I cant get whitelabs, unlees i order online and have it shipped wich ive never had good luck with that so idk.

About to do a Apollo Vienna smash and see if i can get it going in under a month. Will post back with the results. I did a northern english brown and it was awesome at three weeks, simple grain bill + low hopping + london esb yeast = fast beer!!

So brewed the inn keeper from nothern brewer and grain to glass two weeks

Well after no answer i went ahead and brewed this beer yersterday, over shot the og it came out 1.100 on the nose, made this for a event here in memphis called the cooper young regional beer fest. I went with the wyeast 1028 london ale. I've had luck with this in the past attenuating big beers...
