WTB Stainless Steel Fermenter - 7 gal

No longer need, decided to buy the Anvil one, much less than SS Brewtech.

WTB Stainless Steel Fermenter - 7 gal

Looking for a 7 gal SS fermenter. I am in SE Michigan.

    Vessi Fermenter/Dispenser

While the transfer into the unit is added difficulty with the sanitized bucket and then dump into this unit I don't view this as an inconvenience since the transfer after fermentation either doesn't happen or happens easier and completely sanitary without the introduction of oxygen, I see the...

    Bru-Gear people

I have the 15 gal, and do BIAB and use my old immersion copper wort chiller. With BIAB when I pull the bag I use my mash paddle to keep it out of the way of the thermowell. Also the wort chiller I made was originally for a taller 8gal pot, it goes just a bit above the 6gallon mark but it fits...

    Bad idea for Spent grain

I just use the bag I put the grains in from the LHBS...huge sturdy bag, works great. I place it around a 6 gal bucket first then put the grains in from the voile bag.

    FastFerment conical

That means when the fermentation is very active you are probably at 75+, so I would find a better spot or get a fridge. I have a True GDM-26 (fits 2 easily, could probably fit like 6 5 gal buckets if I wanted. It's overkill but it's what I found nearby. I could probably have a 30gal in...

Keep it Clean - Maintaining your Home Brewery for Beginners

oxidation I thought wasn't bad for the copper immersion chiller though (thought it was necessary actually) if it's green it should probably be cleaned up though

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

Larger ring is at the bottom, more stability that way... They resized the stand at some point so the new ones are shorter I believe.

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

I will definitely be replacing the brass thermowell with SS. It doesn't feel smooth anymore and I just don't trust it. I also have the problem that the metal FF holder I bought makes the fermenter sit too low and I can't remove and reattach the collection ball. The fridge the FF goes in is...

Did I just ruin my beer?

It will be fine. You might want to monitor it to make sure it doesn't blow off the lid of the fermenter. Look up blow off tube if that is a concern with how active it is. I would also try to cool it down if you aren't using precise temperature control.

Another First BIAB - went decently...not fermenting though!

ah it's bubbling away actually now it wasn't actually 8 weeks old but I believe I bought the yeast in early to mid Jan and made the starter 1-2 weeks after that I was worried about nothing of course...Maybe it's just tough for yeast to get going at 60F? I made a ramping program so it will be...

Another First BIAB - went decently...not fermenting though!

Basically...should I go to Adventures in Homebrewing tomorrow to get another pack of yeast to help make sure it takes off or just wait it out?

Another First BIAB - went decently...not fermenting though!

So, I had all kinds of new equipment for this batch. 15gal Bru-Gear kettle new BIAB bag (obviously) with a pulley oxygenation stone + tank longer vinyl tubing for wort chiller (annoying running 35 feet) True refrigerator with stc 1000+ for temp control and I brewed in my garage...

    Fermenter

I bought a used True refrigerator, GDM-26 I believe. This will fit 2 of them easily. I believe there are wine fridges that would fit 1 perfectly. Mini fridge will not work, you need about 36" of clearance. I just spent 3 weeks checking craigslist until I found what I wanted. I was...

What came in the mail for you today?

I went with Brewbysmith a week ago: He lives 20 min away from me and actually put it in the work mailbox and I grabbed it out a couple hours later! I did the DIY kit (with LED) and just finished making it. It is working great, the only problem is that the refrigerator for ferm control...

Induction BIAB Pot? SSBrewTech, Bru-Gear, MegaPot

Also have the Pro Boiler (15 gal). Great kettle. The sanitary fittings are easy to use and clean. Has half gallon markings from 5-15 gal which I love too. Very thick bottom which I haven't used for induction but it seems to work better with my propane than my 8-9 gal bayou classic I used...

Upright Freezer for Fermentation - Coils in the way

Is it possible to bend those coils to the side of the freezer and it would work fine? is it worth it? I thought I heard of someone doing it before. I wish I could just find the right used fridge/freezer for the Fastferment conicals... I could get this for about $100, it's nearby so no...
