Just a suggestion, try heating your mash water on the stovetop. My electric range isn't hot enough for a full boil, but its plenty good to get mash temps. That would at least save you a trip now and then.

The great thing about saison is that you can take it almost any direction. I think Saison Dupont is made with only pilsner malt. Agree with others that 3711 is great yeast and will chew through anything almost.

One other thing you can do. When I keg, I always fill up a sixer or two and just use carb tabs. That way I have a few to give away if I want.
