Domed lid with 6" tri-clamp fitting for original SS Brewtech Chronical

I see that blichmann engineering makes a 4" tri clamp cooling coil - any aftermarket Chronical lids out there with a 4" tri clamp?

Domed lid with 6" tri-clamp fitting for original SS Brewtech Chronical

Hello, I have the original SS BrewTech Chronical fermenter (half barrel) and was looking into if there's an aftermarket dome lid with the 6" tri clamp fitting. Similar to what their Chronical 2.0 has currently. Hoping to rig up a similar setup to the 2.0 with the Temp control coil attached...

    Good bug or bad bug?

Nevermind! Just googled that and you're spot on! Thank you! Their eggs are tiny little yellow balls... We want these guys on our hops!

    Good bug or bad bug?

Are you sure? I've seen these little dudes in years past and they continue to look like that through the summer, only getting bigger and bigger. If that's a future lady bug that's news to me!

    Good bug or bad bug?

I've seen these little guys before and I think they are good guys... I get aphids every year and I think they're eating them. I hope so at least! I also bought some green lacewings this year and I'm not sure if these are mature ones or not...

    Downy mildew or sun burn?

I'm pretty sure it's over fertilization. I did some more research on it and looks like that's what I did inadvertantly.

    Downy mildew or sun burn?

Actually yes I did, however it was a slow release variety. But I hadn't fertilized previously since beginning of May. Curious to hear what others say.

    Downy mildew or sun burn?

Hello all of you avid hop growers, This is the third year in a row now my plants are getting this yellow brown curl to the end of their leaves. My hops grow on a trellis right off my deck which means they are also very close to my house. This time of year they are getting LOTS of sun...

    Alpharoma/Rakau hops

That's still pretty good but I wonder if more sun during peak summer hours helps express the more tropical/citrus out of it. Mine get about 10-12 hours max in the June/July months and even now I am still getting about 6-7. Here is where I got it from - looks like the flavors are spot on...

    Alpharoma/Rakau hops

Where are you located in the country? Do you fertilize it at all? And how much sun are they getting hours wise in the peak of summer? Here's a few good pics I took from a couple years ago - I yielded 3.5 lbs DRIED from two plants.

    Alpharoma/Rakau hops

I don't pick up on the peach. I get a lot of that citrus/tropical from it, maybe a bit piney/resinous.

    Alpharoma/Rakau hops

I have been growing this variety at my house for about 4 years now. Absolutely love it. Great yield. Keep in mind terroir will affect the outcome of your flavors/aromas etc. I am in the Northeast (upstate NY) and this one is always a late bloomer. I still have it producing cones in mid-October...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

Is anyone else using the Anvil Kettle Strainer with this and if so, have you tested what you can max out on with the hops? I recently brewed and did hop extract for bittering and then 4 ounces in the hop steep. Between that and the cold break, that puppy got pretty clogged and took forever to...

    Blichmann BrewEasy

I think its very much worth the $50 bucks or whatever it is now. If you order it through Adventures in Homebrewing or MoreBeer I believe you can just take on another $10 bucks worth of supplies and you can get the free shipping. It's honestly one of my favorite additions to the equipment that...

    Blichmann BrewEasy

I have one of these and absolutely love it. I even use pellet hops and have not had any issues. The most I've thrown in there however is 5 ounces (I am currently brewing on the Anvil Foundry). I am amazed at the spent hop cake at the bottom of the kettle after draining to the fermenter with it...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I am looking into configuring some quick disconnects for the existing hoses and Wort Chiller that the system came with. Curious if anyone has done this? I reached out to Anvil directly and they did not have anything they could suggest and advised I go the Local Homebrew store route. I have...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

Nice setup! Looks similar to my backyard and the reason I bought the anvil so I can brew and semi-watch my kids (at least help the wife out a whole lot more than from my old half-barrel setup!) I like the system a lot. It's been churning out some nice tasty DIPAs that my whole family enjoys.

Alchemist Crusher - Can you clone it?

All of this is great info. Thank you all for providing the documentation references. I've seen that video too, that is a great one. And I 100% agree that this beer is about quality of ingredients, nailing down the process (and consistency) and "treating" the yeast and beer as a whole correctly...

Alchemist Crusher - Can you clone it?

This is very specific - helpful for sure, but do you have a link? You said googling but it sounds as if you're a former brewer there with those details!

Alchemist Crusher - Can you clone it?

Interesting... I'll have to look into that piece more... I'll be digging through my old brewing books for sure to read up more on that! I would say the majority (90%) base malt and then some sort of biscuity type malt... I do get some sweetness in the beer but I think that's from the finishing...
