    Johnson A419 Probe mounting location

I have not started my own beers up again. I'm going to do it as a winter project when work slows down a bit. Right now I have it on a store bought keg. I might end up putting the probe into a beer bottle instead of the side of the keg for the reasons mentioned above when the keg starts to empty...

    Johnson A419 Probe mounting location

Yes, was talking about the probe. I was able to snake the probe through the rear of the kegerator without drilling so all is good. Thanks for all your help everyone.

    Johnson A419 Probe mounting location

Hi all, Just got my A419. Where is the best place to mount it in the kegerator to get the best readings? I put the probe directly against the side of a full keg that I have in there. I then took two small foam mouse pads (thicker) and put it against the probe and put a strap around it. I...

    Temperature controllers for kegerator

What would be the best unit to look at? The Johnson?

    Temperature controllers for kegerator

Any potential problems with having the unit turn on and off via the outlet instead of it's automatic temp control? I didn't even think about putting it through the door. I was thinking of a small hole in the tower and feeding it down into the kegerator.

    Temperature controllers for kegerator

I have a Marvel kegerator. It has one of those dial type control units for the Temperature. It can be a pain to pin point the temps with different beers. It doesn't have a Temp setting just a dial with 1-9 or something on it. Would one of the temperature control units digital or analog that...

Got the faucet installed yesterday. Works like a charm. So much easier to pour now. Thanks for all your suggestions.

    Perlick 525SS question

My regular faucet sticks so bad. I'm afraid I'll do more damage by forcing it. Ordered today. Should arrive on Monday. Next upgrade after that will be two faucet tower.

    Perlick 525SS question

cool deal. In the process of ordering it now. I hate my standard Faucet. Wish I did some research two years ago when I bought a regular Stainless Steel faucet to replace my old one. Would have saved money. I guess you learn from your mistakes. :-)

    Perlick 525SS question

I believe my manual for the Kegerator states that the shank they use is stainless steel. I should probably just try it on my stock shank before I go out and just buy a new one?

    Perlick 525SS question

I'm looking for a new faucet for my Marvel 61HK kegerator. I'm thinking of the Perlick 525SS for it. I've read some reviews of people complaining that they leak. Is this something I should be worried about and is it usually an easy fix? I'm not sure if I should get a new shank or not? I have...

    Getting back into Homebrewing.

I will do all grain down the road, but I want to do some extract kits the first few to get back in the game. I have a kegerator setup already as I have been buying kegs for the past few years now. Thanks for the advice on the Mash Tun

    Getting back into Homebrewing.

I already have a nice sized pot that I never got rid of and I have a couple of cappers already. I don't need the kit at all. I can piece it together. Since I have a couple of Sanke kegs I'd like to give them a try first. Going to stop by my local Homebrew store next week to see what they have.

    Getting back into Homebrewing.

For the most part the process is the same until I get to the Kegging part? Instead of bottling it keg it?

    Getting back into Homebrewing.

I actually opened up two of the kegs. First one took some time but the second one was easy. Cleaning might be a little harder but I figured since I got the kegs free I may as well give them a shot first.

    Getting back into Homebrewing.

I've been out of brewing at home for about 10-15 years now. I threw out most of my equipment (stupid I know.) I'm interested in getting back into it again, but this time instead of bottles I'd like to keg the beer to put into my kegerator instead of bottles. I got a couple of Sanke 1/6 kegs...
