Anyone ever use plasti-dip to paint their keezer/kegerator? I was going to order some plasti-dip from dipyourcar.com for my 66 VW and wondered if anyone has ever done this to their keezer? If you have I'd like to see some pics!
My buddy and I are brewing an IPA this weekend and we are going to use 6 row brewers malt. Yeah you can make great IPAs without, but we just want to try something new. We wanted to do a protein rest but have never done so, especially in a 10gal cooler. Is it as simple as two infusions before the...
Was wondering what people are using for blowoffs with better bottles an the like? I know that NB has a "blowoff assembly" but the tubing is rather small. Planing on making a switch, I normally use buckets.
I have a 7 something cubic ft freezer that I'm using as a keezer. I don't have a collar on it, I have 2 kegs and the CO2 tank in there along with bottled beer. I've seen others that have fans in them which I'm guessing is to keep condensation at bay? I haven't had any condensation yet.
I have looked around the forums for a little bit to try to find a clone for this ale from kona brewing and I can't really find a clone. Anyone have a clone for this? I would like to brew this sometime in the future for a party in August.
I am looking for a recipe that is super malty and little to no hop aroma. Something like a scotch or a winter ale. I've looked in the recipe database, but nothing has caught my eye.
So I bought 4 gallons of Honeycrisp Cider to make Brandon o's graff. It's 100% natural, no added preservatives or vitamin c, it is also pasteurized. Do I need to worry about adding campden tablets to sanitize since it is pasteurized?
So I finally got a chest freezer and a controller for my keg setup. I have noticed the colder it gets, the lower the pressure gets in the CO2 tank. Is this normal or should I be looking for a leak?
So I just purchased a keg kit from my lhbs and was wondering if you need to clean the CO2 line? I know I probably should, but how? Does it need to be sanitized prior to use?
So I just got the OK to buy a kegging set up, but I don't yet have a fridge to keep it in. Is it ok to just store the beer in the keg uncarbonated and at room temperature until I get a fridge? I should be able to get a fridge in about a week or two.
I have a CDA that I brewed up on 9/8/12, so it's been almost 2 weeks. I pitched 1 packet US-05 @ 70F and OG was 1.056 corrected for temp. Today the SG is 1.020 @ 64F corrected for temp. The question I have is does swirling the bucket around getting the yeast off of the bottom help "wake" them up...
Brewed my first all grain today. It was one of the 3 gallon BIAB kits from NB. I used my 7.5 gallon turkey frying pot to mash in and it worked very well. I had a little trouble holding a steady temp, but I expected that because I didn't insulate it and the pot was too tall to fit in my oven. Had...
Today I am brewing a 3 gal BIAB kit from NB and this will be my first time using dry yeast. My question is do you just simply sprinkle it on the wort and don't stir/shake or do you want to stir it in an aerate then?
Im brewing up the CDA BIAB kit from NB this weekend and I would like to use my 5 Gallon carboy to ferment in. Is this going to be enough room or am I asking for a definate blow out?? Thanks for the help!
