    Temp Probe wont stick to ss conical

    I have a Stout 14.5 Gallon conical. It has a thermowell but I'm only doing a 5 gallon batch right now and the thermowell is just at 5 gallons.     starter for wyeast 1007

    Since I've heard that 1007 doesn't floc well, will cold crashing the starter for 48 hours after the ferment even drop out the yeast? Or should I pitch the spent wort and yeast due to it all being in suspension still?
