A keg in my kitchen fridge?

Don't be afraid of sticking a keg in your main fridge, that's what I do :mug: It's not the best but it'll work untill I get my new apartment and can convert an old freezer for my kegs. In the mean time it lets my spare kegs age more as I can only have 1 going at a time.

    Possible stuck fermentation, Thoughts?

I started a batch of festa brew double oatmeal stout 2 weeks ago. It's a kit of 23L of wort and s33 yeast. The s33 yeast wast a month past date but I made a starter the night before and pitched it at 22c. Within 24 hours is was fermenting away at 18c. The OG was 1.055 and it is now 1.026. I know...

is brewing beer worth my time?

Like others have mentioned, I brew because I enjoy it. I'm still at the beer kit stage, but it's a blast. I can say it was saving me lots of money, that is untill I just bought my keg setup and I guess its a slippery slop from here. That and no one complains when I tell them I need some beer...

    Pipeline

Getting the pipeline going is hard. I've been brewing for a month and a half now. 1st brew was incredible and its gone, 2nd not so good 3rd was a stout that needs more time, 4th bottled last week, 5-6 are in secondary and 7 is in the primary. Not to mention 1 batch of cider bottled that needs to...

Poll: Which type of a brewer are you?

Well I'm just starting off and don't have much equipment yet, 6 carboys and a couple of buckets. That's going to change as everyday I look at my mini fridge and imagine having my own beer on tap my will grows a little weaker. Then I figure if I'm going to start kegging I might as well move...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Just bottled my first batch of apfelwein the other day. I'm glad I started another batch a few weeks back because it is simply amazing, even if it's green and uncarbed. I just can't wait for it to age a bit! Thanks edwort!

    Apple wine fermentation question

That's what I had to do with my second batch. Take a bit out, re-sanitize the airlock and you're good to go.

    Apple wine fermentation question

What type of apple juice did you use? store bought or fresh pressed? I found my first batch of apfelwein that I used store bought juice didn't do much and just bubbled away. The fresh pressed apple juice was bubbling out the airlock and over my walls! I left the same space in both similar to...
