    temperature is everywhere

    My temp has been in the 60-70 range. Is this bad? it is a lager yeast, california common, steam beer, but its been so hott out (global warming) in march and the temperatures have been all off, so my room has been up and down. Is this bad? Should I bring it down from 70 or leave it?

    Bottling question.

    If I am about to bottle from my 6.5 gallon bucket with a spigot, can I just hook up the beer bottle straight to the spigot? Or do I need a tube from the spigot to the bottle? I think I got a siphon that came with the kit, so I don't know if I should use that or not, or how.

    steam beer, how long in the primary?

    How long do you guys usually keep your steam beer or california common's in the primary fermenter bucket? 1 week? 2 week 3 week? How about how long to clean up ? And what about bottling? I would love to hear from an experienced steam beer dude.

    Whats a dark cloudy hoppy beer?

    I once had this beer that was SO good. It was really cloud but also dark. Not black maybe not even brown, maybe even a little lighter but still dark. Almost purple but it wasn't purple..
